How to Perform

  1. 1

Sit comfortably with an aligned spine and soften the jaw.

  2. 2

Inhale in three calm stages, pausing briefly after each partial sip to sense expansion in the ribs.

  3. 3

After the third sip, hold the breath for a quiet beat without strain.

  4. 4

Exhale slowly and steadily through both nostrils, emptying completely.

  5. 5

Repeat for 6–8 rounds, keeping the breath smooth and free of tension.

Benefits

  • Builds lung capacity by pacing the inhalation in small sips.
  • Encourages diaphragmatic breathing and relaxes the mind.
